Engineering

Our colossal steel flagpoles are engineered to meet ANSI/naamm fp-1001-97 guide specifications for design loads for steel flagpoles. Flagpoles etc. steel flagpoles 100′ and above are designed and manufactured to meet all local wind codes and ice loading requirements nationwide. We provide engineering and budget cost information for any custom flagpole and or flagpole foundation based on project information.

Flagpole Construction

Each flagpole is constructed of A-36 carbon steel at a 36,000 psi yield point. Every steel flagpole is constructed with a .500 wall or thicker. We do not skimp on the integrity of any of our products. Be cautious of other products using inferior wall thickness. Each section is joined utilizing Seamless steel concentric reducers, which provides a uniform taper appearance. Each flagpole comes with a standard corrugated steel foundation sleeve with a steel base plate and lightning spike arrestor.

Steel flagpoles are sand-blasted to prepare the surface to receive epoxy primer. Then, they are coated with a high performance, two-part chemically cured epoxy primer in preparation for painting. Finally, the finish is completed with an aliphatic urethane gloss epoxy which is superior to enamel. this product provides excellent gloss and color retention when used on exterior surfaces exposed to sunlight and rain. the highly cross-linked formula provides superior abrasion, chemical, and solvent resistance.
